Our Impact
Our social enterprises exist to not only serve exceptional, locally roasted coffee and sustenance, but also as an opportunity for at-risk young people to gain key employability skills, build their confidence, develop food handling and barista skills, teamwork and customer service skills in a real work environment.
We know that young people are often locked out of the job market due to inexperience or other barriers. Here at The Little Social, we give those young people an opportunity to gain the experience they need, whilst accessing a wide range of judgement free, wrap around support services to ensure that every individual has an opportunity to succeed.
Young people that participate in our employment pathways programs is mentored by industry experts and supported by a dedicated Youth Enterprise Coach to ensure their individual needs and aspirations are realised.
Since opening our first café, The Little Social has created an impact on hundreds of young people right across Melbourne – leading to sustainable employment, a greater sense of confidence, and a decreased risk of homelessness.
